It took 9 rounds, but we finally found someone who can score in the shootout. Ladd wins it. Ward stopped 9 Columbus shooters. Hamilton, Cullen, Whitney, Walker, Cole, Brind'Amour, Staal, and Williams all failed to score.

got free tix to tonight's game, was my first hockey & Hurricanes game

needless to say I'll probly be back. CRAZY entertainment. Fights EVERYWHERE. Commodore is straight nasty. Punched a Blue Jacket square in the face and he just collapsed. One & done.

Ward was a star in the shootout, fantastic game. Go Canes!

Is every game this heated? I kid you not there were like 4 brawls (everyone but the goalie involved) and like 8-10 fights. It was nuts. Even Cam Ward punched someone in the nose.

Wow, I wasn't at the game but it was the first game of hockey my bro-in-law had ever been to and I'm sure he loved all the fights. Sounds like it was a good game to be at.

Commodore didn't fight. It was a gloved punch for an uncalled elbow, which is two minutes for roughing and nothing the other way. Typical Commodore retaliation penalty that we didn't need.

Bad game for the Canes, but Cam played out of his mind.

FYI the game will be on Center Ice tonight. If you have digital cable or satellite or whatever, there is a free preview until the 9th, so you can watch it. It's RDS, though, so it will be in French.

As for it not being on FSN: There are certain games that are Versus-exclusive, meaning no other games can be on television in the US at that time.
