I was thinking the same thing when I suggested doing this years team, but I still wanted to throw that idea out there. Thought it would show a little confidence/cockiness in this years team.

I'd wear a '83 or '74 shirt, no question. I'll put it in rotation with my 'this is not red' shirt

It looks like the original style is done with condensed Arial bold font, and yours is Tahoma/Verdana. That's my only suggestion.

i asked a couple different people and they all thought veranda like i did, granted i dont have an eye for graphic design.

but there is definitely a subtle difference that i didnt notice till i did a side by side of arial bold and veranda

we will make sure they look just like the undrcrwn ones

good luck finding it. a small time boutique that does mostly hiphop type clothing called "Rocksmith" made it, but from what I can tell, it was a VERY limited run.

I've seen Big Pooh of Little Brother wearin it on stage, and then one other time I saw a guy on the street wearing one. Can't find them on the internet anywhere.

keep in mind if it looks too narrow its because of the way i cropped it, but it will look right on the shirt

ive also emailed the blog that did the bootlegs to see what they used, so we will confirm it before anything goes to print.

in fact im wearing my "Red" shirt right now, and it's red, so you must have gotten a bad one. they will be as close to red as we can legally be without infringing on official NC State Pantone colors, but I mean when it comes to shirts, it's either red or its not. so it will be red.

i mean, im not fighting the idea...im a big believer in the market...and im all about celebrating the total achievements of the program

but the vision i had for this really works so well because of sid being our new coach

if people really start buying these and they wear them to games, it would be really confusing to see a bunch with one name and bunch with the other, especially when the impetus of the shirt is that, to paraphrase J Hova, "the motherfucking cardiac pack is back in the building"....yeah 74 is too, but 74 isnt driving the car...thats nice that they all come to the games and monte is an assistant coach, but i just feel like it dilutes the idea.

perhaps we can make some of the 74 later on in the season once these hit and we see how people react to them on a large scale, i.e. @ the RBC Center

i think it would be nice to have both, but i think it's more important to use them as a rally/support article versus just mass producing nostalgia.
