horrible story aside,

as an outside observer, i'd like to support Nastoute's hypothesis here that Lucky1 is ignorant as all get out.

ignoring everything else about the story other than the guys socioeconomic status as a homeless transient and propensities of homeless people toward mental illness and the like, how can you even come to the conclusion that race has anything to do with the fact that he attacked the women.

whats hilarious is the same stupid rednecks who rail against the idea of a "hate crime" because "murder is murder is murder" are themselves the first one to throw out the word "nigger" in a racial context whenever a murder occurs and a black person is involved

while he'll probably come back with some witty retort about his righteousness and moral high ground for making the comment, just know that we're all mostly ashamed to share the same community with you.

Rocky Mount is a terrible place and I'm very glad that I left

I enjoyed growing up there, but I think there is a big difference between RM today versus RM 10 years ago. It's quickly turning into Little Durham with its race relations, city council, and police department problems.

I wouldn't be surprised if my parents pick up and move out to the county at some point just so they are no longer paying taxes to the city.
