I had no idea that was Halo 3, nor do I care. I think the only people that really notice ad placement are the ones that look for it. Enjoy it for what it is, a fucking show. I'd be pissed if the episode revolved around some product, but it didn't. 11/2/2007 12:52:35 PM |

I think making the product placements obvious is funny.
It's something they're practically forced to do...might as well make the placements as cartoonish and out of place as possible. 11/2/2007 4:35:09 PM |

i was thinking, a good ending to the series would be for Dr. Cox and JD to leave the hospital and open their own practice. JD mentioned it once in an episode a couple seasons back. then in a cool twist at the end, the janitor shows up and JD finds out Dr. Cox hired him to work in their office as a secretary/receptionist or something. 11/3/2007 12:39:57 PM |

^ NBC should hire you to write your own sitcom.
It would be a disaster. 11/3/2007 7:09:55 PM |

They might as well hire him... the season is going to be cut short b/c of the fucking writers strike anyway. I heard that episode 12 or 13 is probably going to be the last one made unless this strike is over quick..
That would really suck and screw up any way they were thinking of ending the series.. 11/6/2007 12:49:10 AM |

They should just hire another writer to finish off the series. Look on the bright side. I can't get much worse than it is already. Heck, with the way this season started, it would be nice to see the final season head somewhere besides the drain. 11/6/2007 9:38:39 AM |

*** I bought Season 6 today. I only saw the last 4 or 5 episodes of it last season so I gotta catch up.. hopefully it isn't as non-funny as some people think...

I thought if you you had to be in the Writer's Guild in order to get credit/benefits for what you do, similar to the other Guilds. It was the reason Frank Miller couldn't get a director credit in Sin City - he wasn't part of the Director's Guild. 11/6/2007 2:41:43 PM |

And that's what they're gonna do regarding the Elliot vs. Kim issue. Say that Kim moved 40 minutes away which essentially writes her off the show. This paves the way for JD to be with Elliot at the end of the season - I'm now confinced that's how the show's gonna end. 11/8/2007 10:31:58 PM |

I can't seriously see them doing that, at least in the same season that he has a kid. Seems a tad messed up to me.

I agree, they seem to be setting up the end to be JD and Elliot getting back together. They also tying up all the loose ends. Last night's episode gave the story between JD and his brother a good place to conclude. All is cool between them now. Last week gave conclusion to the JD and Kim plot. Week one wrapped up Elliot and Keith.
They're moving the pawns around on the chessboard and I can't help feeling like they're setting up for something big... hmm.. 11/9/2007 2:51:11 PM |

Quote : | "As Hollywood studios started stockpiling scripts for the Writers Guild of America strike, Scrubs creator Bill Lawrence said he declined a request to write a backup ending that would have allowed the NBC hospital comedy to shoot a series finale even if the walkout continued into next year.
Lawrence revealed Saturday that he instead decided to write the scripts in his normal fashion, rather than fast-forward to a hackneyed series capper in which "two people kiss."
Lawrence says he will write a "proper finale" and get it shown during the next TV season if he has to. This should make "Scrubs" purists happy." |

The janitor's name is obviously Neil Flynn
Oh, and I just found this fun tidbit on IMDB that I am going to have to look into:
Quote : | "Through the first season, the cast and crew, especially writer/creator Bill Lawrence, were so sure that the series would be canceled by the end of the season, that a plot twist was created for use when they'd have a forced series finale. This plot twist noted the fact that the Janitor, Neil Flynn's character, never directly spoke nor was spoken to by any other character than JD, Zach Braff's character. Therefore, the Janitor would be a complete figment of JD's imagination. This idea was kept up into the second season, still in fear of cancellation, until Flynn asked Lawrence to be able to finally interact with another actor on the series. (Although Elliot actually throws a cup at him in the 6th episode and sarcastically says "SORRY!", in episode 11 he gets punched on the balls by a little girl and in episode 15 the janitor teases the nurse with the vacuum cleaner)" |

One theory I heard for the end of the series was that the entire thing was in J.D.'s head. That there have been clues throughout the series that JD is actually in the psyche-ward. This is similar to how the 1980s medial how St. Elsewhere ended. 11/29/2007 9:48:02 PM |
