in a normal year, $5k easy. maybe more. only a fraction of that this past year, but that's not normal. i drive a lot though. 25-30k a year probably.

lets see on the truck i drive i roll through about $320 a week usually drive it about 50 weeks/yr so about 16k in diesel

'95 Ford Sport Explorer, about 20 mpg average (I use the calculator everytime I fill up to check for mechanical problems).
In last 12 months I've spent $1,139.08 on gasoline (MS Money).

i have a 10 gallon tank, and get an avg of 354mpt.

my quick estimate came up to $3500, but that was assuming driving my new car that gets 25ish all year, in actuality I drove a tahoe half the year with a messed up AC compressor that really screwed the gas mileage down to 12-14ish at absolute best..
