MAD does play a big role...it's not like we missed the thing every time...but it sure is a bitch to find...

one time I found the sub using our optical sight at night. I was just scanning the horizon from the anti-surface warfare coordinator seat in the combat information center and caught the periscope in the water...got a lot of grats on that one

although for the record, i would classify that as an understatement. Nobody even approaches our military capability.

i'd hope so since we spend nearly 1/2 trillion a year which dwarves the military spending of any other country.

Not that i do not appreciate having a strong military to defend my country; but foreign policy should not be if you disagree with me let me flex my muscle until you see things my way.
