i dont have any helpful advice,

i have terrible memory when i drink, i dont black out but i rarely remember much

I find that I black out when I drink over a long period of time, even if I'm pacing myself very slowly.

If I start at 3:00 PM, I'll feel pretty good and relatively normal -- albeit drunk normal -- until maybe 1 or 2 AM, at which point my memory shuts off completely.
