this has been a great movie year with Once, 310 to Yuma, Bourne and Ocean sequels, Into the Wild, and Gone Baby Gone. Did anybody else really love Fincher's Zodiac. I think it is probably my favorite of the year. 12/2/2007 4:24:45 PM |

Thus far, I've been the most impressed with "Superbad," though "American Gangster," "Into the Wild" and "Ratatouille" were also fantastic.
If we're counting "Pan's Labyrinth," however, that's been my favorite of the last few years.
I also thought that "Smokin' Aces" was the worst film I've seen thus far this year. 12/3/2007 2:49:42 PM |

cuz smokin aces was far less action packed than i had hoped. it had its moments, but it was marketed as much more fast paced. least thats how i see it. 12/3/2007 5:17:13 PM |

I didn't think that "Smokin' Aces" lacked in action - it was nothing but violence, I thought, and lacked in plot, character development, and pretty much everything else.
I'm sure I could delve into why I hated it so much, but I think that just saying that it's a giant piling of rotting shit covers the bases pretty well.
Though that Alicia Keys was "Smokin'" 12/5/2007 3:54:53 PM |

The best movie I saw in the theater was Bourne Ultimatum. The best movie overall was Ratatouille. Unless we're counting Pan's Labyrinth, in which case, it wins both. 12/5/2007 4:10:30 PM |

I really enjoyed Hot Fuzz and Superbad, and No Country for Old Men has had me thinking about it days after a saw the movie although I don't know if I can say it was one of my favorites of the year. 12/5/2007 4:16:51 PM |

due to my current small town living situation my movie viewing has been limited, but:
1. Pan's Labyrinth (a must see in the theater, dvd doesn't do it justice on my little tv) 2. Reign Over Me 3. No Country for Old Men (and it's third only bc it took me a whole 2 days to realize how good it was) 12/5/2007 4:28:00 PM |
