I need to either get that carb from you or buy one big enough for this motor.

Got the new Powermaster 100A one wire alt. today, and ordered dual 12in electric fans.

yeah, come get it whenever. it's an older holley 750dp, should fuel it no problem with a rebuild and tune. it was a little too much carb for my small block, and i prefer the "tune it and leave it" streetability of an edelbrock even though it sacrificed a little power.

you can get a lot better performance from a holley, especially at w.o.t., but you do have to fiddle with them quite a bit more on the initial dial in and with weather changes from winter to summer.

Dont get one bigger that what you need. Tuning will be more difficult and bottom end performance will suffer.

either thats one hell of a sleeper, or you need to do some desmogging, go get you a roller cam truck 5.7 longblock from the junkyard, and we'll build a 400hp sleeper, complete with fake ac and smog shit

first thing I did when I got the car was fuel pump, ended up taking it off and putting the one that was on it back- turns out my driveability problems were cause the pump was weaker than a threat from slowback. kinda what i figured, after I went richer with different metering rods and the problems got worse. but props to keith for stopping by and helping a nigga out. the car starts, idles, and RUNS HARD much mo better now.

I gotta admit, I got a good 3/4 chubby floggin that thing last night, even though it decided to puke a half quart of oil out the dipstick onto the headers and I thought it was gonna go up in flames

^ correct, thats on the short list for sure. I have one of these sitting in a box, but looks like i may have to pull the headers to install it.

also the transmission is definitely gonna have to come out, one of my recent undercar discoveries is that the case has not only the crack at the pan bolt (epoxied it appears) but may have at one time been busted pretty badly at the bellhousing. there has definitely been some welding done to the thing before.

the one thing i dont like about this edelbrock performer carb is at idle the thing dumps fuel in and wants to foul plugs.

also i need a hood i can fit an aircleaner under... thi nk i found it though

my other big problem now, which isnt so big at all, is dropping it in gear cuts my RPM in half. and high idle isnt good when you park and shut down unless you like your shit sounding like uncle buck's car.

electric fans going in soon, manual steering is in, voltmeter problem is fixed, dash is back together, wasp nests are cleaned out of the wheels, the whistles go whooooooooo
