She didn't do anything all that bad besides wording what she thought on the subject in a very easily misunderstood way.

given i was in the market for some dating advice, which i'm not, i think so far the only persons advice i would take seriously if she suggested anymore would be kitty b. just because i know shes married and seems genuinely happy.

you people are freakin brave for suggesting some tips though. kudos.

You hate feminists?

Do you also hate having the right to equal pay, to vote, to be thought of as an equal to your husband?

Because without feminists, none of that would have happened.

i don't consider myself equal to a man in any case. i work with men all day, and there is no way shape or form i consider myself equal to any of them in any form. im inferior to my significant other, i know my place and im okay with that. in fact, i love it. I see no problem serving a man or being "barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen."

in my career field of choice ill never get equal pay anyway, so it really doesn't apply. In any case, my income is just for extra money as it should be.

and voting, somewhat important, but i could easily live without it.

When I watched the video in the first post without music, all I could hear was the Jackass Party Boy music. But I have seen that episode of Planet Earth many times.

im not going to get into details, but he is incredibly successful in his career field of choice and what hes done throughout his life is amazing to me. There is no possible way i could consider myself equal to someone who has dedicated so much of their ENTIRE life to a career and has so much to prove it.
I look up to him as a man for accomplishing so much, on top of being committed to his family, committed to me for 8 months while traveling all over the US, and even committed to me for 6 months while i needed to find myself and finish some of my personal goals.

I know in my heart that there is no way i could ever have the strength to do any of things hes done both inside and out on several levels of his life, and I'm proud to consider him my partner because of it. But at the end of the day, inside i don't feel equal to that in any sense.

why wouldn't i want to be with someone like that?

^^^ I understand why YOU would want to be with him.

But if he considers you to be inferior to him overall, why would he want to be with you? Why would any human being want to be in a relationship with someone they considered inferior to themselves?

No. But if you objectively think there is "no possible way you could consider myself equal to someone like him", and he think you ARE equal to him, isn't someone living in never-never land here?

Nothing good comes from ignoring reality.

this is silly.

theres nothing wrong with my relationship, and im not going to get into details nor start evaluating it over some minor shit people on the internet who have no idea who i am criticize lol. Dont worry nobody is living in never never land here.

now if my best friends started saying things, id start to question things. but they've all met him, they've seen us together many many times over the past year, and if my two best friends can overly approve - then it must be working out well.

continue with the advice for the single people.

friends approve of relationships as long as ur happy or ur for it. usually a friend can see when shit isnt going to work but doesnt want to say it bc they know it will eventually run its course. so u just let things be.

not my 2 best friends.

i was in a bad relationship that i was too young, stupid, and "love" blind to realize and the day my best friend found out he came over and literally pulled me out of it. i stayed in his guest room and he took my car keys and my cell phone and refused to let me contact the guy in anyway and vs versa. It was the best thing anyone has EVER done for me, and once i realized it to this day i still thank him for doing it.

If i wasn't in a good situation, there is no doubt in my mind he would do something or say something, and since i was living with him during some of the time we were dating, he saw us enough and knew our relationship pretty well.

im old enough now to value the opinions of my best friends, because essentially, they are the only family i really have.

what's the problem with believing that someone else is better than you, if they are, in fact, better than you?
