I doubt any ref is "slanted" towards either Duke or Carolina; anyone who legitimately believes that is a bigger homer than you. But after 23 years of watching ACC basketball, one can't help but notice the gross inequalities in officiating that take place during way too many Duke or Carolina games. It isn't homerism, it isn't looking for black helicopters, it's something that happens and is worth bitching about. If you actually kept up with basketball in the pre-Bruce Pearl era (and didn't just troll a State message board), you'd have probably picked up on it too.

"yeah, I dont know about crediting the refs for every single thing that our rivals do"

Don't even try to act like "our" rivals are your rivals Jaybee. And apparently they don't teach you how to read at Tennessee because several people in this thread have already stated they didn't really have a problem with the officiating in the Carolina game because we were clearly outplayed and outclassed. Posters above have also said that we probably wouldn't have beaten Duke, even without them taking dives all over the court.

So,

1) Please don't try to act like you're a State fan
2) And don't misrepresent what people say to make it fit your idiotic blathering

^^ 1. haha, you have no idea if I liked bball before Bruce Pearl or not (which I did).
2. Trust me, I am the FARTHEST thing from a homer on here, and what I was arguing for would be more towards NOT being a homer rather than being one

I knew what you meant from reading your post the first time. But I also know that you claim to be a State fan second to Tennessee. I was calling you out for acting like you had anything in common with a State fan, much less professing to be one. If you were really a State fan you wouldn't always pop-up in State game threads saying shit like "I didn't even know this game was on" or "what happened?" because you would know there was a game and you would have watched it/listened on the radio. And if you actually watched games outside of UT's, you would know why everyone was so pissed off after the Duke game. But you didn't, so please stop trolling people who did.

There are plenty of people who graduate from State w/ 4 year degrees who aren't State fans. I'm also sure the same applies to people that work here who graduated from other schools and are still fans of those schools and only pull for State in so far as it helps their bottom line.

well, the MAIN reason is that I am in Atlanta now, and there isn't as much coverage here about NC State athletics, hell, they dont even cover GT here... and I think everyone knows I am a Tennessee fan first with State #2 but thats still above every other school out there.

i think it is completely unfair that a star player such as Hansborough or Paulus gets special treatment from referees. it is completely ridiculous and so very clear that there is severe bias.

its just like late hits on Tom Brady or peyton manning. star players get all the calls. and its bullshit.
