^^^ ok sorry I should've rephrased that. I respect them, as fans, because i've never heard NC State, or anyone for that matter as organized as they are.
I still would rather yell and scream and kick the boards and get loud, But can we cut out the band yelling, you walked, you traveled, you took too many steps... it's like we're in high school again. 2/6/2008 7:38:36 PM |

Why the hell do we need the seats in the student section anyways?? You're standing up the whole time anyways, and don't give me the "well it's a timeout and I need to sit" stuff. You could fit more people along the east and west sides of the court that way I'd think. 2/6/2008 7:46:51 PM |

WTF?
I love how so many of you are motivated by trying to do something just to get the commentators/espn to take some kind of notice. I for one, think one of the stupidest things I could possibly ever see is a student body banging flip flops together. If the idea doesn't get some sort of reaction from the players then it isn't worth doing, just make noise. You think they don't know they flop? They are being coached to do it.. I just read some of these ideas and feel embarrased that you people think they are good/funny/effective.2/6/2008 11:30:49 PM |

Bids by conference ACC (5) Automatic bid: Duke At-large: North Carolina, Clemson, Miami, North Carolina State Bubble: Virginia Tech, Maryland Comment: Wednesday night's game between Duke and UNC could obviously change the projected champion here. 2/7/2008 11:09:01 AM |

i can't believe they put us and miami at large over maryland and georgia tech, don't see that happening

we definitely have a better case for an at-large bid than georgia tech, even though they beat us. look at the entire schedule. (yeah i know we have some shitty losses, but they already have 10. gl getting in ncaa's with 14+ losses unless you win the conference tourney)
maryland should definitely be up in at-large above miami. how this guy could put a team that's 2-6 and 11th in the acc over a team that's 5-3 and 3rd in the acc with a win over carolina ON THE ROAD is beyond me. imo, that discredits his entire projection. 2/7/2008 11:34:44 AM |

if ga. tech finishes top 4 in the acc and wins a tournament game, they'll go, no matter the number of total losses
i don't see the ncaa putting someone who finished 6th or 7th in the acc into the ncaa tournament over the number 4 ranked team just because their non-confernce win-loss was a little better 2/7/2008 11:44:46 AM |

if shock value is all you are going for that cheer was a success! remember the look on mccants' face? i remember i could hear the chant clear as day on the tv. i lol'ed. if distraction is what you are going for, might want to enlist some thinkers from other schools... we don't really do too well at that. 2/7/2008 3:13:12 PM |

Well honestly, 99% of stuff that is done to be a distraction in sports is merely tradition and the athletes are used to it and it really doesnt affect them. if anything it motivates more athletes than discourages them (at least in my experience). its done more for fun for the fans imo. 2/7/2008 3:19:39 PM |

if ga. tech finishes in the top 4 of the acc, they won't have much more than 10 losses anyway. and yes, then if they win a conference tourney game or two they'll probably go. but i don't see ga tech finishing 4th.
