i found this really funny b/c its not the format that is inferior its the fact that audio production from the vinyl area was inherently better. the style of recording we're getting today can make your ears bleed.

Meh.
I have three crates of records that I won't get rid of and a couple of Corona boxes of 7"s.
I still listen to them all the time, but they're a pain in the ass considering the amount of space they take up.

Right now I'm using a Yamaha Natural Sound turntable that someone put out with their trash on Kaplan Dr. years ago. I have a nicer Marantz turntable that I'm hanging onto too, but it isn't in as good physical condition. The Yamaha is almost mint.

You know what would make any album from the 1960's better? Being able to hear the kick. In fact, as a kid, I thought they just didn't use kick drums back then, because I'd never been able to actually hear one on a recording.
