yeah. if you think about it though past the shock factor, that's probably not TOO terrible as far as weight is concerned. a couple of stripped out escorts probably only go 4k lbs., less if they don't have drivetrains. trailer probably around 2k lbs. so, it's close, especially if they didn't have trailer brakes, but not terrible. just looks scary, and the tie downs are sketchy at best. i'd hate for a big crosswind to come.

that was by far the least scary thing i saw going through there though. in a lot of those midwestern states, doubles are legal on a regular license. saw a reg. cab long bed 1/2 ton gmc z71 pulling a huge 5th wheel travel trailer, probably 25ft. at least. behind that was a 12-14ft. dual axle landscape trailer with 4 atv's.

that's fucking nuts. do people not know that the advertised towing capability is derived using a weight distributing hitch? without one that 1/2 ton is overloaded just pulling the atv's. it's like the new ford f-150 how they say it can pull 10K. yeah, it can with a w.d. hitch but without one it's only rated at 5K.
