when i lost the key to my fuel filler door, i just used a thin screwdriver to push the latch back and it opened. they are all simply made, not made to deter anyone with an oz of imagination.

siphon pump?

when we needed to get the old gas out of the lawnmowers or tractors after they were sitting a while, we would just use a hose and our mouth...no pump needed.. . just remember to take your mouth off the hose at the right moment

I don't particularly feel bad for the guy getting stuck with a high level charge. It's not like he is out there trying to stick it to the system or anything, the people he is robbing for gas probably can barely afford it themselves.

He probably spent enough money buying that pump, wiring, switches and shit to buy a decent amount of gas. I have to imagine at least one of the people that he has cleaned out was praying they could stretch that tank to their next paycheck.

Yeah, I would say so. I mean, let's say you wanted to blow up a church. With a fuse, I need to be there. With a timer, I could break in on Saturday, set the device to explode on Sunday at 10:00 a.m., and be out of the fuckin' state before it goes off.

if you own a 95 and older wrangler then im sure you know how to fix one and can handle the job

I kept picturing myself being the guy that gets the locking gas cap, but then loses both keys, and cant get in his own fucking gas tank.

My dad said he read a news article recently that said they were drilling gas tanks now to drain the gas. It makes a lot of sense...People have been cutting out catalytic converters for the platinum since metal prices are so high. Almost all cars have a plastic tank now, so they can drill it and stick a bucket under it while being a little more low key than people who are literally siphoning the gas out of the filler tube.


A funny ass story from my uncle who owns a big farm here in NC. With all the tractors, combines, trucks, etc. he has his own gas tanks and pumps on the farm. Several years ago some people were parking on the highway, running through one of his fields, and cutting the lock off his gas pump in the middle of the night to steal gas from him. He could trace their steps and see where they were stopping halfway through the field and setting down the gas cans to rest. He said there were two guys and he estimated that each guy was carrying a 5 gallon gas can for a total of ~20 Gallons per trip.

Anyway, when the gas tank got low he refilled it over halfway with water. It was just enough that it still smelled a little like gas, but it was probably 90% water. Those fuckers filled their cans, poured the gas into their car, and then made it about 1/8 mile down the road before that shit locked up.

I asked him if it just shut off because of the water or if it actually bent the valves when that cold water hit the cylinders. He said he had no idea...He didn't want to get involved with the cops and he figured they pretty much knew not to mess with his stuff any more so he just let it go when he saw their car broke down on the side of the road.
