Obama will increase taxes it is the only way to pay for all those social programs he wants to implement...like increasing welfare program so people can keep having babies and getting more money and instead of letting them pull themselves up by their own bootstraps...it is called dependency..I'm not against helping people....don't try to spin that.. but their is a point where it becomes too much and the people become dependent...I do not want to subsidize someone elses life by paying more for taxes to have these programs go to people that are a scourge on society

Being tortured by some Koreans isn't a justification for racism, it's an explanation. By its definition, racism can't be justified. And further more, I can say those gooks were justified in torturing McCain because he (and other mostly white people) was trying to drop hundred-thousand-dollar bombs on them from his multi-million dollar air craft.

This is why I stay away from soapbox. The rules seem to be:

1. Take what someone says, reinterpret it to make it 10x worse, and then claim they said it.

2. If you can't dispute the facts, ridicule the source. Huffington's site was merely a source for the speach, but people jumped all over that, like it had any bearing at all.

It seems to me that people like the idea of a black President, they just don't want him to have had the black experience - complete with all of the conflicting emotions and firey preaching that it sometimes entails.
