Okay. I am going to express my opinion whether you talk to me or not. I have been to the Riverwalk once. I was not impressed. Could have been because it was chilly outside though and they're used to mild weather in San Antonio.

I spent a decent amount of time in SA and visited the river walk often. It ended (or started depending on where you were) in a Mall (not that cool). It was maybe 8 feet deep and 20 feet wide. I just looked like a big concrete canal. I didn't ever take the tour of with the boats. I knew others who did and they said it was ok, not great. As for the "bars"...the good ones were still a cab ride away and the only place to drink was a Hooters (and trust me, you did not want to go there as a recruit in the Army. That's where all the pissed off E-6's were who really didn't want to be there circa 2004). So I went to the bars a little past the Alamo. The Alamo is about 3 blocks from the mall and that was kinda cool. It was smaller than I had thought it would be. I was like...DAMN, now I know why all you dumbasses got killed, this shit is tiny. But San Antonio is actually pretty cool in general.
