well to be honest i do think that hooksaw has to be decently intelligent because of the way he can word things from time to time and take the absurd and make it appear as if he has really convinced himself of what he types. i'm sure that he does, in fact, believe some of what he types but more often than not hes trying to get a response out of people, and i don't really mind that. I think more often than not he is pleased with not only the number of responses he receives, as any troll would be, but also with the retorts he'll receive to even the most asinine of his statements.

Hooksaw will no longer be a problem. He now believes in radical nationalization of all American industries.

TSB will soon be safe from any conservative thinkers.

This is important because it goes to credibility. Having now clearly established that you have none, nutsuckr, can we please all get back on topic. I realize that it's a lot of fun for you foaming fucking moonbats to attack me, but it doesn't advance the dialogue related to the topic at issue.

1. Do you agree with Maxine Waters (D-CA) that the U.S. oil industry should be nationalized? Yes or not? Why?

2. Do you agree that the Congress should conduct these continual show trials of oil executives that amount to nothing other than political theater?

You have a seriously flawed definition of lying. When one of your students gets an answer confused on an exam do you write in very large letters "liar." I guess you aren't the only old TA at NC State University.

p.s. you have a Community College Degree. I guess that is why you spent all your time in Virginia as a jailer.

What makes me laugh is that i'm far more right leaning that a lot of people I know, and I wouldn't argue the majority of the things that hooksaw, Rat or TreeTwista10 would argue. some of the things they discuss i can agree with in principle but the methodology and rationalization they use to support their claims i typically find to be intellectually irresponsible and that is my reason for not agreeing. Never has to do anything with an obamassiah complex or anything of that nature. when that argument is used sincerely i imagine it solely as an excuse and rationalization of why people don't adhere to a point of view rather than conceive that their point of view is potentially flawed.

Rat's consciencness has been duplicated into a new immortal being by the magical powers of Obama and he has retained a new chance at life as: Captain RATmerica

please do not bring up memories of this old being of 'old ways'. I now stand for dominating control of america by the government and support this move to control the oil industries by politicians

^^^^ I'm still smarter than you are, nutsuckr--where are you attending graduate school again? And I've lived in the real world, you arugula-munching elitist.

For the record, I've encountered literally hundreds of State undergrad students during my time as a TA. I was "underwhelmed" with their general academic performance, to say the least. You're like many of them: a lot of mouth and not nearly as much brain.

BTW, it appears that you've been investigating my background rather heavily. I'd call that an. . .

Maybe. If done correctly as a way to get us off our oil addiction nationalizing the oil industry could potentially serve some short term and long term benefits. Now will it actually be done correctly? Probably not, therefore we probably shouldn't (and actually never will) go this route.

They should not continue them, instead they should conduct investigations into price gouging, and if the evidence is there fry them. Otherwise fuck off and do other, more useful things.

1. No i don't feel that the oil industry should be nationalized. its a notion that finds itself pleasant in theory, but is not entirely pragmatic. A stronger dollar would do more overall good and would drive down the cost oil as well. I feel this is an issue that should be further evaluated and addressed before nationalization is ever a concern.

2. I feel investigation is warranted, but I rather not have a horse and pony conducted as it is now. If the government is instituted to protect its citizens it is the duty of the government to investigate any organization that could be creating potential harm for its citizens. in this case the people by far and large feel the oil companies are to blame. While I do acknowledge that they are only making a 7% profit I still feel as if something isn't all together legit in relation to the current rise in prices. regardless of which i believe deep investigation into the accounting measures and politics that result in the current price of gas is necessary before we resort to drilling in other areas that would by large assist gas available to the world but only affect the overall gas available to the US on a small level, thus, only reducing the price by a minor amount. furthermore i feel that drilling would result in a gradual decline in price and that other alternatives may be reach before a substantial drop would be seen by the public.

My fellow liberals: please do not feel the need to be so confrontational with these "conservatives"

Their believe in the "people" running oil industries is vain and naive. There is no further need to respond to this nonsense.

hooksaw

...

we all have our faults and each of us, in some ways, dislikes the views, opinions, and methods of many of the users here

but you... you... are just an idiot

totally beneath contempt...

why don't you settle the fuck down and then maybe people will stop breezing over the bullshit you post and simply reacting and actually discuss what you are trying to put for

what exactly is your problem?
