GymJones sounds like more of a cult than a gym.

Gym Jones is basically a crossfit-type program with a Duke attitude in a Fight Club environment

Planet Fitness on Western. Awesome place to work out unless it gets packed...which can happen a lot.

I love it when the lunk alarm goes off

^^I always told the people at the counter to walk their lazy ass over to the weights and talk directly to the person they wanted to set that buzzer off on before they hurt someone inadvertantly through distraction. It's a gym, not PeeWee's Playhouse.

The Duke East Campus gym usually- Tues. and Thurs. for weights and light cardio, Wed. for swimming. Yesterday I was lifting with the Duke Lacrosse team (weird after that whole saga)- it's usually students but a good number of staff and grad students use that gym after dinner.

I also like West Campus for spin and yoga classes, and the bigger pool.

I have to say the facilities are nicer than NC State was as a student, and less crowded.

it involved them taking your money and filing bankrupcy a month later. If you were stupid enough to buy into that deal when half the people on this message board were forewarning of their financial problems, you deserved to have your money taken.

I haven't been to planet fatness in two months, but I have a membership there. I swim at Pullen 1-3 times per week and recently got back into mountain biking though. I'll hit the gym once it gets colder, but for now I'm enjoying the outdoors in the time that I'd normally be in the gym.

the one in a tent-building down in the forgotten no-man's-land that is the flightline area south of the main part of Al Asad, a base in an exceptionally bum-fuck-egyptian area of Iraq.
