Yeah, we just called one no-kill about a stray kitten we found that needed some medical attention. They said "we've got a 4 month waiting list for kittens and we wouldn't take an injured one, here is the number for animal control". 7/1/2008 10:36:23 AM |

That's why I hate no-kill shelters. They like to act all high and mighty and then refuse most animals and make the county do their dirty work so they can beg for more donations than they deserve from a bunch of stupid liberals that never think about where all the cats the no-kill won't take go. No-kills will kill animals, just don't have the balls to do it themselves." |
So are you just suggesting he take it straight to the county shelter and tell the truth where it will certainly be euthanized if it's not adopted in a couple weeks? I wasn't advocating the killing of an adoptable pet, but it seems you are.
If you know so much about the subject, why don't you offer suggestions rather than just bitch about what everybody else says.
It is obvious he wants to keep the cat anyway.

EDIT: Even if there's a waiting list, that might be acceptable to him. I know he's fed up with the cat's behavior, but he obviously cares enough to not kill it. Maybe he'll wait it out.

thanks cody, you're dead on...lewoods, you're still here?
so problem cat spent the night in solitary to determine more solidly that she is in fact the problem, and i am going to get some canned cat food today, along with nature's miracle if i can afford it. i also stepped my litterbox game up to everyday, and i'm putting on my steam cleaning hat and robe again. 7/1/2008 12:47:17 PM |

Hey someone already mentioned this, but it was a really great idea. Feeding the cat near the area it urinates may also help to curb the situation. 7/1/2008 9:24:42 PM |

I never tried that with my problem cat so I can't comment on whether it will work or not, but I seem to have heard that before. In theory it's a good idea anyway; probably worth a try. 7/1/2008 9:55:35 PM |
