I got the tote to use for carrying around my school supplies since I am not into scrapbooking so if it doesn't work, I'll be posting it for free.

Not completely free but cheap as hell-Walgreens this week. I went today and got highlighters, posterboard, pencils and pens for 9 cents each. They have a circular at the front of the store and you just tear the coupons out of it or you can get one out of the sunday paper. I brought my boyfriend along so we could each get the limit so I'd have enough for my classroom. I'm set on highlighters

I know not many of us are teachers but Staples and Office Depot are having their Teacher Appreciation days with free gifts for the first 100-200 teachers present. Must show id tag. Free tote for Office Depot in the past and Staples, I dunno...I've never been.

anyone ever been to one of these?

Ohhh, here's a $2 off $10 at CVS~ printable...

http://www.richmondparents.com/rpm%20pdfs/RICPA072208.1-32web.pdf

Look at page 30.

Also, you can check out iwantahomenow.blogspot.com and she has scenarios of how you can use the coupons from Sunday's paper and the CVS deals and the $2 off coupon and get all this stuff for less than $5. Basically, what she is saying below is that when you buy certain items at CVS, they give you Extra Care Bucks if you have a CVS card. The ECB can be used immediately on the next purchase so that is what she does. Check it out:

1st Purchase:
(2) Colgate Total Advanced Toothpaste $2.99
(1) Oral B Toothbrush $2.49
(2) Dawn Dishwashing liquids $.88
Use these coupons:
-$2.00/$10.00 purchase
-$1.50 off Colgate Total, Printable Printable 2
-$1.50 off Colgate, August AllYou Magazine pg 57 (11-30-08)
-$1 Oral B Advantage Toothbrush PG 8/3 (exp 8/31)
- .50 off Dawn PG 8/3 (exp 8/31) have 2 of these

Price before coupons: $10.23
Price after coupons: $3.23
ecb earned: $5.50 ($4.00 for Colgate and $1.50 for Oral B)

2nd Purchase:
(4) Pert Plus shampoos: $3.69 each Buy One Get One Free
(4) Sure Spray: $2.89 each Buy One Get One Free
Used these coupons:
-$2.00/$10.00 purchase
-$2.00 off any Pert Plus, SmartSource insert 6/29 (exp 8/31)
-$2.00 off Pert Plus, SmartSource insert 5/11 (exp 8/16)
-$2.00 off Pert Plus, SmartSource insert 8/3 (exp 9/30)
-$1.00 off Pert Plus, SmartSource 5/11 (exp 8/16)
-$1.00 off Sure Aerosol, SS 6/29 (exp 9/30) have 3 of these
-$1.00 off Sure Aerosol, SmartSource insert 8/3 (exp 10/31)

Price before coupons: $13.16
Price after coupons: $.16
Total spent so far: $3.39

3rd Transaction:
Gillette Fusion Power Razor: $9.99
Oral B Toothbrush $2.49
Used these coupons:
-$2.00/$10.00 purchase
-$1.00 Oral B Advantage Toothbrush PG 8/3 (exp 8/31)
-$4.00 Gillette Fusion razor PG 8/3 (exp 8/31)
-$5.50 ecb from Purchase #1

Price before coupons: $12.48
Price after coupons & ecb: $0.00
ecb earned: $4.50 ($3.00 from razor and $1.50 from toothbrush)

According to the rules from Kingdom's First Challenge, I can only do 3 transactions so as far as HER challenge goes I would have to stop here. I haven't spent $5.00 cash yet as far as the $5.00 Charity Challenge goes so here's my last transaction to complete my charity shopping.

4th Transaction:
(2) Kleenex facial tissues: $1.29 each Buy one Get one Free
no coupons for this

Total cash spent: $4.68 plus whatever tax will be
Items purchased to donate to charity (I am trying to decide between 3)
2 Colgate Toothpastes
2 Oral B Toothbrushes
2 Dawn dish liquids
4 Pert Plus shampoo & conditioners
4 Sure Aerosol deodorants
1 Gillette Fusion Power Razor
2 Kleenex Facial tissue boxes

yeah, this sunday's paper rocked for toiletries items...i'm totally doing the CVS thing you posted

wait...that $2 off $10 purchase coupon:
Quote :
"Coupon cannot be combined with any other CVS/pharmacy coupons. Limit one coupon
per customer. No cash back. Expires: 9/28/08"

how were you able to use it for three transactions? and how does that work? you go to three different CVS stores or you come back another day or what? i'm confused..

^^Oh, I haven't done this yet! This is just a blog I read about how you CAN do the transactions. I would NOT be surprised that she went to three different CVS stores but I am not sure.

Or, perhaps, she went with someone who made her 2nd and 3rd purchases. Sometimes I drag my boyfriend along.

OH! In Sunday's paper was a buy one foundation get one face product free for Covergirl and if you go to CVS this week, Covergirl trublends, aqua something, and some other kind is buy one get one free so it's FREE! You get two makeup products for FREE!
I got trublend foundation and trublend powder.

^Wow! What a great deal!!! Congrats to you

Thanks to who ever shared that little tip about the 15% off.

^^CVS's policy is on BOGO items that you have a BOGO coupon for, they are totally free...but it may vary store by store. The store by Wake Med will accept them. I'm about to go get some make up for a friend. I'll let you know if I have any troubles with this transaction.

Keep sharing!!

Here is the info on the teacher appreciation stuff: i got this info from a lady i know

Quote :
"Office Depot (Crossroads) Aug. 16th from 9-11AM - get a free tote bag of supplies + they usually feed you with things like McDonalds biscuits, drinks, etc....the N & O usually has a booth and they have discount newspaper deals---I usually renew my subscription here. Also have some drawings.

Office Max - Aug 21-23 - get a free tote bag of things. I seem to get the most back on teacher rewards year-long so they are my favorite.

Staples (Garner Station) - Aug. 16th. (9-1) They typically have an assembly line of goodies...in the past they would also have raffles every 20 min. Stay away from the make-up ladies and other things they try to sell....If you go back on Sunday sometimes you can get an extra stash of things.

Jo-Ann's Fabric (apply online and need the federal ID tax # from Janie) and A.C. Moore (apply online and mail a copy of your teacher certificate) also has a teacher discount program, just for FYI.

http://shortcuts.com/stores

Kroger is the only local participating store; I've heard also that you can load smartsource coupons to your various cards, and will give that a go soon. Hell, I might even do that today

Anyways, I totally forgot about loading coupons to my Kroger card until I bought some strawberries last night (4/$10) and got $1 off. I was like 'wtf' until I got an email from them saying 'you've used this coupon, here's what you have left. Oh, and we have new coupons for you to choose from'

I just added a $0.55 cheerios coupon (as my bf loves cheerios...got one of the bigass boxes for $1.50 this week ), and a cookie mix, and cinnamon toast crunch, and yoplait ($0.50 off three whips; my printed coupon like that is either $0.50 or $0.55 of six...the $0.50 will double nicely once yoplait goes on sale )

^^I did mine a month or so ago so I think they offer magazines until all of them have been claimed and then they offer more...so just be patient and I am sure they will have a different selection coming soon.

^That's neat. I will have to check that out.

A neat idea on handmade christmas gifts..

http://green.yahoo.com/blog/greenpicks/227/last-minute-diy-gifts.html

Also, a neat idea for "wrapping" gifts that I came up with. Get an old Kleenex box and place gift inside. Then stuff in tissue paper. Ta-Da~ My dad's teeshirt fit perfectly inside.

I used the new decorative ones that look like this:
