I am 28 and I'm absolutely happy with my post-college life. Jumped into a great career path after school and am now pursuing my MBA, something I have wanted for a long time.
My family is happy and healthy, and I couldn't be more proud of my sister who just graduated from college and is making a fantastic life for herself.
I'm not driving what I want to drive mainly because I'm living off loans at school. But once I'm finished, I can definitely drive what I want.
I will move in with my girl (again) next summer, when we both graduate (again).

Yes and no. I'm 28 btw.
Yes because I have a lot more going right than a lot of people. I have a job that pays OK, not great ($31,000 a year), and a lot of what I do doesn't really feel like work. I get to goof off a lot while I'm at my job, so I don't really work hard. I have a wife who adores me, and a small but comfortable house with low monthly payments. My only debt is the mortgage - no credit cards, no student loans, no car payments. I love my car. My family is healthy and doing well, and I have the world's greatest parents.
No because I still want more. I really wish I didn't have to go to an office every day and waste 8 hours of my life. I hate getting up at 7:15, the weekly staff meetings are pointless, and I'm always worrying about whether my work is good enough or whether there will be more layoffs. There's a lot of traveling that we want to do. I've still never been on a cruise. As much as I like my house, the neighborhood is a little sketchy. I really wish I had a bigger house in a safer neighborhood like where I grew up.
Honestly, I'd rather be at home right now with my wife watching TV, or at the beach, with $20 million in the bank. 8/11/2008 12:38:27 PM |
