I fixed it again like a week ago but now it's back a 3rd time. I think I remember how to fix it so I'm not stressed this time, we'll see. The list of drivers that the wizard, the wizzzzard!, offers don't work. In fact, they make the computer die with a blue screen that says "if this is the first time you died then everythings fine, but if you keep dying then there is something wrong." Which make's pretty good sense to me. However, if I install the original driver from HP (yes the puter is an HP, you picky State ppl) it works even though it's supposed to be obsolete. Anyway, I just wrote this so I could get some shit from ppl telling me they don't care and criticize me for having this problem in the first place. I actually feel the love just as much from criticism as I do from props, does that make me weird? 9/12/2008 2:06:11 PM |

Why not look up the model or serial number on the card and install the correct drivers? I mean, this has worked for me in the past.
Or buy another sound device...pretty cheap nowadays. 9/18/2008 10:30:07 AM |

The sound thing fixed itself a couple of days ago, somehow, again. The funny thing is I gave up on it like 3 days before it fixed itself and the puter was restarted several times in between. NEW problem: now my mouse cursor momentarily freezes on the screen every few sec. And it does it most often when I move it left. Sometimes I even get phantom mousewheel scroll. I guess I'm being punished for some form of ignorance. Crouching masturbator hackers need to make viruses that burn the house down or somehting, not this annoying mosquito bite bullshit. Like, I have more respect for somebody that jacks my car than for somebody that just keys it. Computers blow and I'm sick of it. 9/19/2008 3:04:27 PM |
