First thing they need to do is rename the god damn divisions so that the names arent interchangeable... Coastal/Atlantic??? Then, they need to have all the Carolina schools together, throw Clemson in and sort out the rest from there 7/24/2008 5:27:04 PM |

I'm just kind of afraid we'll overlook Duke as a pushover game, there's no way we can lose, blah blah...and then get embarrassed. I just have a bad feeling about this one, haha.

That's a pretty objective opinion. 7/24/2008 5:27:47 PM |

they could do the ACC North and ACC South but if you did it that way, the Carolina schools would get split up...which would be fine with me, at least there would be some seeming order
Miami/FSU/Ga Tech/Clemson/Wake/State
Duke/UNC/Va/Va Tech/Maryland/BC
or somethin like that...but our division would be kinda stacked 7/24/2008 5:29:41 PM |

^^The objectivest, I'd say.
^ I was just thinking that, and looked at a map, and then thought exactly this:

I have no idea what Duke is going to do.. I mean, they are going to suck ass, but will it be a "suck ass but can occasionally sneak up and upset teams like Northwestern does" type of suck ass or will it be regular old Duke suck ass. 7/24/2008 5:30:16 PM |

^5 I really hope that after last season's opener against UCF the coaches have beat the "overlooking an easy game" out of the players.

It's gonna take Cutcliffe at least 3 years to put a passable product on the field, I'm not at all worried about Duke beating us or any other descent team in the near future. 7/24/2008 5:32:12 PM |

they took UNC to overtime last year...they almost beat Wake a couple years ago when Wake ended up in the Orange Bowl...they BEAT CLEMSON a few years ago (HAHAHAHAHAHAHA)...they tend to play teams competitively, but rarely win...but play a team close, and a couple lucky breaks and you get a W 7/24/2008 5:33:13 PM |

^exactly, and i don't want to be the team to get egg on their face.
and i went to that clemson game, it was nuts. took the fans like 45 minutes to tear down the goalposts. guess they hadn't had much practice. 7/24/2008 5:34:17 PM |

Duke FB shouldn't even be considered on the level of our volleyball team. In football there are plenty of complex plays that need correct planning and execution from a bunch of people. In volleyball you just hit the ball over the net, and if you do it enough times you don't lose. 7/24/2008 5:35:49 PM |

^^^this theory that if you lost a bunch of close games the year (or couple of years) before that you're going to be better/win more games the next year is stupid, they haven't won an ACC game since the 2004 season, as they say close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades
