When we were dating, my husband and I only used condoms up until we had been together long enough to get tested and feel confident about the results. Then we just used the 'pull out' method unless I was on the pill (which was pretty sporadic).

Now we are married and have a 7 month old with a rare medical condition, so we do not even want to risk getting pregnant accidentally until we know the risks of having another kid with similar problems and get things down with our first one. My doctor recommended the Mirena IUD and we are pretty happy with it so far.

yeah, giving blood is almost like a mini physical, and they test your blood for about everything you can imagine and then some....of course, they dont want you to give blood for that reason....
