I evacuated to Atlanta for Hurricane Gustav.

The liquor store on Camp Creek Pkwy. had this stuff on prominent display, just a few steps in. Either they'd just put it there, or nobody knows about it, because there were tons of bottles still out.

I mixed this with some Publix fresh lemonade... result? Full of awesome. By the third cup or so, I started to feel it. The buzz lasted six hours, though that may have more to do with the fact that I was drinking on an empty stomach

Still got half a bottle left. I'm gonna kill this stuff when I return to New Orleans.

Word is that Absolut is buying them out for $40 million. I'm sure they could get more, but I guess it all depends on your preferences. Company is wearing thin as it is, having to outsource production to Florida and looking for a bigger place in the Charleston area.

I kind of hate the fact that it got made. I'm not a liquor drink person...staying mainly with beer when I go out and wine with dinner. I will take just about any shot you put in front of me...but I keep my tab low and am more able to maintain my sobriety by drinking beer. The sweet tea vodka has been a little trouble for me. Now I'll have my 5 or 6 beers...get a little tipsy...then start sucking down the sweet-tea with water...squeeze a lemon in there and you're golden. Trouble trouble.

and its odd to think of Charleston as "trendy". I mean, its always been a really really cool city, one of my top 5 in American, maybe top 2, but its such a classic town that I just dont think it can be trendy.

I nabbed a bottle at the Cameron Village ABC store on Tuesday. Went looking for it last Thursday, and the guy at the counter said their last shipment sold out in a matter of hours, but a new one was coming in Tuesday, so I ran over there on my lunch break. They had at least 10 bottles at the time. (I was sorely tempted to buy 2, but at $22/bottle I didn't want to spend that much...)

Good stuff. Tried it with icewater last night, and was quite favorably impressed, though I wish I would have had a slice of lemon. Tonight we see how well it cooperates with lemonade.

Will definitely be keeping this around in the future...great fucking idea, I don't know why no one thought of it sooner.

Tried it several different ways, but with lemonade has remained the fav so far... Still open to suggestions...... Other than what has been mentioned (Ginger ale, Water, Tea, Lemonade)



One pals swears by mixing it with the crystal light peach tea mess, but I don't think I'm quite that brave.
