i wouldn't be ashamed if they beat us but when are completely taken out of contention by a girl that couldn't stay on her feet and demoralized the rest of the team thats when I become ashamed. Had the highest 3 only counted we still probably would have lost and I would feel good about that if we had given our best and at least had a chance. Had Alicia performed there would have been less pressure on our girls to make mistakes and then at least some pressure at all on the Chinese. They were bound to do flawless once they knew they only need a 14 to win gold.

Its not just about winning but it is about performing and giving your best shot.

Look, we all know there are better looking girls than this one out there. But we don't see them in the Olympics, we don't know they are flexible beyond belief and they aren't semi-famous. Those are three attributes that contribute to this girls overall package...

They were up by 1 point in the beginning, before rotations due to difficulty ratings. The final score was 188.900 to 186.525. That's two points. We beat them in vault and the balance beam.
