I just feel that having the ability to know the complexities of our economy, which isn't easy, means that someone should be able to track their own financial situation enough to know the number of properties they own. That particular question and answer isn't a big deal, it is just an example that he is old and slow. Given time to prepare he is fine, on the spot not so much.

1. The vast majority of his wealth comes from his beer heiress wife. I don't know how the finances work in their marraige, but I don't think it's difficult to imagine that he doesn't stay up on all the details of it. I really just don't see this as an issue at all. I think he could've answered the question better, though.

2. That said, Obama has had his fair share of slip-ups when put on the spot. I mean, think just as recently as the "above my paygrade" comment. Again, I know what he was trying to say, and in one sense don't disagree, but are you fucking serious? When you're running for President, nothing is above your paygrade. You are the #1...as in, "the buck stops here." You don't have the luxury of not making a decision on something--if it comes to you, you have to make a decision on it.

i'm still trying to figure out why the question was asked. as in, why the fuck does it matter how many houses he owns? I'm sure someone will try and make an allusion to the housing market as of late, but the fact is, McCain aint borrowing money to buy a house, so it doesn't matter. The question was posed to make him look bad, no matter what the answer.
