I don't think you understand how it works. The federal max is $5k per year for a dependent care savings account, which is pre-tax money. So you're saving around ~1500-1700, or even more if that $5k puts you in a lower tax bracket.

Far from worthless.

im going to be paying 350 for Cobra and was paying around 120 bucks a month when I had a job for the same coverage. My doctor copays are 25 bucks
