It's the internet, go find it dude. It's also not hard to envision. Corn kernels versus grass. grass is fluffier.


like I said, i've heard this from many farmers, and most recently from a girl i've started seeing who works for a bio-ethanol company, she said the same thing everyone said. I didn't get this info from teh internet.

but just from a quick google i did

density of corn = 721 kg/m^3
density of miscanthus = 80kg/m^3


grass takes up a lot more space

and yes some sugar is grown in the US, not nearly enough to meet demand. We import the bulk of our sugar. You know that.
