of the episdoes on hulu i second the 'cooter' recommendation, but like he said it's really hard to jump right into it.

^ the pilot episode is kindof meh, but if you're not into by the third i don't know what to tell you.

doublepost, sorry.

i looked up that episode (cooter) and unbeknownst to me it won an emmy for best writing in a comedy, then i looked up if matthew broderick was nominated for best guest appearance, b/c i think he's great in this episode, and lol at the nominations.

Tim Conway for playing Bucky Bright on 30 Rock (NBC)
Will Arnett for playing Devon Banks on 30 Rock (NBC)
Shelley Berman for playing Nat David on Curb Your Enthusiasm (HBO)
Steve Buscemi for playing Lem on 30 Rock (NBC)
Rip Torn for playing Don Geiss on 30 Rock (NBC)

[Edited on October 31, 2008 at 3:52 PM. Reason : although i would've put broderick over all of those.]

i wanted to laugh, but i didn't. not even close to the standard they set in the past two seasons imo, which makes me very sad.

they seem to have a deal with Apple now. Liz has always used a Macbook, but now Jack has an iMac on his desk, and they were all using iPhones

i just remembered a couple good scenes that you had to laugh at
- Tina Fey dressed as Princess Leia
- The elevator where Kenneth immediately tried to kill himself with the gun, then try to choke himself

For me when I saw the HDTV in Kenneth's apartment with the note from Jack, I couldn't stop from laughing maniacally. The elevator was great too.

I dunno, I laughed throughout the episode.

Tracy w/ the claw.. The olympic sports had me rolling, and even the Oprah stuff was good.

I thought it was a hilarious episode. Especially with Liz hopped up on pills on the plane. When Jack gave her the pills I was hoping to see a bit of Dr. Spaceman, too bad it didn't happen Hopefully he'll pop up later.

And Don Geiss needs to recover!

totally love this show.
As usual, last night's episode was better on the second viewing. It's almost impossible to catch all the jokes the first time through.

What was the joke about Jenna being completely absent?

i mentioned it over in the The Office thread
Quote :
"They even commented on it last night when towards the end of the episode Tracy said to Liz something like "I'm glad that Jenna's father's visit to the set turned out OK", and Liz didn't know what he was talking about. They were making fun of the fact that sitcoms often focus on key characters for an episode, leaving other characters out entirely (Jenna wasn't in the show last night at all) and how characters are entirely insulated from certain plotlines in order to make the writing easier or b/c of other writing and acting constraints."

that's the first i've heard of how that actually happened.

you are correct sir, this is a good article.

yeah, i knew it was someone when i first saw her, but I couldn't remember if it was Selma Hyack or Penelope Cruz.

Too bad the midget, err.... "little person" storyline seems to be done already. they could have had fun with that
