^ yea i was wondering the same thing. I have other credit cards, but my Citi card has been my main card and its tied to my bills and all so I need to stay on top of this. Also doesnt it hurt your credit score if someone goes under and thus closes your card? especially the card with the largest limit?

I haven't read anything that says Citi is going under... just that it doesn't get to buy Wachovia. How would that affect your card at all?

Someone else would buy the debt up and you'd make the check out to someone else that wanted a 17% ROI.

I just hope Wachovia is charged a million overdraft fees.

Screw Citigroup, their deal is weak and are just crying about it.

This will be a very interesting battle, worst case scenario is Citi succeeds in blocking the bid Wells backs off and the Wachovia shareholders reject the merger. This is a no win situation for Citi they won't get a Wachovia and may try to cause Wachovia to fail in the process.

oh you said merger...which is what wells fargo is trying to do

citigroup just wanted to buy a few select parts of wachovia which is why the merger is a much better plan than breaking up the company and laying some of them off
