horrible food. just can't get it anywhere else so it's still in biz. there's a reason there aren't fondue places everywhere.

Never been. But one of the beer suppliers there hooked one of my boys up with a 1/2 keg of Red Oak because he always gave him extra meat on his subs at Jersey Mike's.[Edited on October 3, 2008 at 2:17 AM. Reason : ]

you people clearly do not know how to take advantage of the free food items they offer.they offer free bread/veggies at the start of your meal, and when the main course comes they offer more free veggies if yours run out.you throw all your veggies into the pot from the beginning while you're cooking the meats... and you also ask for more veggies. the potatoes/broccoli combo is good. and it will fill you up.we never have room for desert whenever we go. we go like once every 3 months or so, if that.
10/3/2008 8:12:03 AM
Mmmmmm desert fondue...
10/3/2008 8:22:06 AM
I've never been to melting pot. If I'm going to drop a bunch of money at a restaurant I want someone to cook the food for me, and I typically want a nice cut of meat
10/3/2008 8:30:51 AM
yeah, don't go. huge waste of $$
10/3/2008 8:31:36 AM
how much is it to go for just desert?
10/3/2008 8:32:01 AM
like 15 i think per person. i'd rather do dessert at home.
10/3/2008 9:26:15 AM
i find myself liking GoldenGirl more and morei don't know why
10/3/2008 9:30:26 AM
Yeah $15 is a little much for desert......it's probably not that difficult to make chocolate fondue at home either well not difficult for most but probably difficult for me
10/3/2008 9:34:04 AM
Man I'm jonesing for some Hibachi filet and lobster.DAMN!
10/3/2008 9:36:42 AM
I like Melting Pot myself...I just think it's overpriced.
10/3/2008 9:40:17 AM
^^this stuff is awesome and then dip everything in it lol. its so easy i love it.
10/3/2008 9:41:02 AM
OooooOOooooh that looks good... I think I'm gonna try it this weekend
10/3/2008 9:43:11 AM
way to complain about free foodyou can do it at home for less (buy a fondue set)then again you can COOK A FUCKING STEAK at home too but you go to a steakhouse to have someone do it for you with a supposedly better quality cut of meat...[Edited on October 3, 2008 at 9:43 AM. Reason : I too complain about free food (not)]
10/3/2008 9:43:34 AM
myoneandonly....they have ladies night on Thursdays. It's like $25 I believe and $5 martinis You get the dessert fondue too!!!
10/3/2008 9:46:34 AM
^^according to my records sir, this is the first thread i've ever created to complain about free food. therefore the free food had to be that shitty if I actually took the effort to complain about it lol.also it just always gets a good hype and i don't understand .^ ya last night was ladies, i think it was like cheese fondue, salad and dessert fondue for 20 a person...[Edited on October 3, 2008 at 9:49 AM. 10/3/2008 9:48:20 AM
.... ok never said you always complain about free food, just that you did, here, now.

My husband and I really enjoy The Melting Pot whenever we go, which is a couple of times a year. We get coupons for our birthdays and anniversaries because we signed up for their little club.We enjoy the experience. It is nice to just sit down for an hour or two, eat, and talk. Even though it is expensive, at least the experience is drawn out enough to where we do not feel "ripped off." There are some places that you eat, spend just as much money, and are almost rushed out the door. We have also received nothing but the very best of service while we were there. If you are going for just the cheese or chocolate fondue, SURE, you can do it for far less. My husband and I have a fondue pot and we can whip up a cheese or chocolate fondue in no time flat for just a couple of bucks. However, as I have pointed out in ANOTHER thread on the SAME OLD TOPIC, you would end up spending more money to attempt to do the meat course with the same number of selections at home. Anyway, it isn't cheap, it isn't supposed to be cheap, and the food is not bad. And if there is something that you do not like about your food, TELL THEM. They have always been very accommodating.

melting pot is delicious but very expensive i believe i've only payed once and been 4 timescheesecake in the chocolate fondue is my favorite
10/3/2008 10:39:14 AM
10/3/2008 10:41:27 AM
^^^ &^ nope I think you have the wrong "cunt"and no not complaining about my parents treating me to dinner, was complaining about the food. And actually the ENTIRE family, mom, dad and bro all thought it was crappy. [Edited on October 3, 2008 at 10:59 AM. Reason : z]
10/3/2008 10:58:20 AM
then saying that the food was subpar would probably be enough. perhaps that you didn't pay for it so there's that part.if that was the "WORST exp. of" your "life" then you've lead a pretty cushy life so far so the bitching stands out more
10/3/2008 11:03:31 AM
You can go to an actual nice dinner with a much classier experience than this shit hole. Most really good fine dining restaurants in the area have awesome deserts that are only $7. Why the fuck pay $15 for something you can make at home with candle light and even eat it naked with your significant other. [Edited on October 4, 2008 at 11:37 AM. Reason : a]
