Nope - you can't use it here.
You're also going to lose your license. You can't avoid it. For once, I'm a fan of the DMV's penalty structure, as you are truly too stupid to drive.

^Hey be nice. This guy is genuinely asking questions about something he's NEVER done before.

If there were no flashing lights, you did nothing wrong. What's not in your favor is:
a) Bus driver's word against yours
b) No witnesses
c) You got out of the car and talked to the driver, giving him/her time to get your license (since you turned Right, in front of the bus, the driver couldn't get your plate until you stopped)

I'm confused by this thread. Did you pass the school bus to make your turn or something? I don't see how turning infront of a stopped school bus is against the law, the worst they should be able to hit you with is failure to yield. And that would be kind of silly if the bus was actually stopped.

I demand a diagram!

Should I wait for the bus to come by one of these days and talk to the driver and ask him HOW I FUCKED UP??

Also, I called my insurance and they said if I lose the case it's 120% rate hike. Can someone please confirm that "Prayer of Judgement" can't be used in this situation please.

Get a lawyer. If you are still a student, you can use Student Legal Services for free. They can't represent you in court, but they will offer you sound legal advice.

This might not have been the best idea. I've read that insurance companies keep notes about when you call, even if there is no claim, and then use this to increase your rates in the future. It makes no sense, and seems possibly illegal, but that's the insurance industry for you.

If you are convicted, the DMV will assign (or subtract) 5 points from your operators license. Your insurance company will in turn find out abou your conviction and do some sort of secret gorilla math formula to jack up your rate.

pull up google maps and show us where the bus was, where you were, and where you turned.

i personally think your relation to the bus' will determine whether or not you're fucked.

I dont see how they can give bus drivers the ability to double as traffic enforcement agents when half of them havent even graduated high school.
