hurfy durfy
11/2/2008 4:27:13 PM
She was well within her rights to do that, but yes, that was childish and mean (only because the 'victims' were children). But someone explain this to me:
11/2/2008 5:11:21 PM
If it was the other way around, of course you wouldn't hear anything about it. Anyone that supports McCain over Obama is a racist, anyway.
11/2/2008 5:15:08 PM
^^well the the kids that were crying, their parents are liberal. most liberals i know dont punish their kids and they always get what they want, and cry when they dont get what they want.

^^oh don't give me those across the board blanket judgements, on either side of thismy situation was the exact opposite of what you just outlined, and a lot of my friends were the same wayspoiling your kids (or not) is not a political affiliation[Edited on November 2, 2008 at 6:14 PM. Reason : ]
11/2/2008 6:11:45 PM
^you're right but there's sometimes a trend. At least i grew up not having video games or having very limited tv time, and now that i think about it the only times i got to play video games were usually at the more conservative kids houses. I guess everyone grows up differently though.
11/2/2008 6:14:42 PM
FUCK JOHN MCCAIN
11/2/2008 6:15:43 PM
In fact i remember always enjoying going to my cousins in Statesville, NC because they always had video games, kid-atvs (as opposed to riding a bike), and typical kids toys that i never had, and they're quite conservative. Growing up i had legos, and anything we could build outside. You're right it's not a political affiliation, but i think it's definitely a traditional/non-traditional trend, which can often be related to conservative/liberal.[Edited on November 2, 2008 at 6:25 PM. ^^^^^dude, shut the fuck upthis does not belong in soap box. it is in the correct forum.[Edited on November 2, 2008 at 6:31 PM. Reason : also, what a dumb bitch]
11/2/2008 6:30:46 PM
^^I think that often trends economically too, the rich kids had all the toys and video games while the poor ones didn't get anything muchi mean i grew up in a pretty traditional/conservative household but we never had anything beyond basic cable and i never was allowed video games until i was much older, mainly so that i'd do things that were actually productive, like exercise, social interaction and get smarter from reading instead
11/2/2008 7:29:40 PM
^I would actually say the opposite. Growing up the more economically sound a family was, the more they traveled, got involved in various activities, and were rarely at home. Whereas lower income families might have both parents working, and would have to find ways to occupy the kids at home with video games/toys etc. Video games and tv's aren't exactly a sign of wealth growing up. Who had a gameboy or nes growing up, i don't think had to do with the income level of the household. I grew up in a middle class family, but the friends i had who would be categorized in the upper class defiantly didn't have more video games or toys. They did on the other hand travel more, had more opportunities for private lessons in music/sports, etc.
11/2/2008 7:49:17 PM
^agreed.... the fact that richer families had more wealth with which to buy video games was balanced out largely by the fact that many such parents also saw video games as immoral or counter-productive, and thus were more reluctant to buy them.
11/2/2008 7:53:16 PM
^yes you could make the argument that the wealthier families wanted their kids not to play video games, and paid for better more productive activities. I mean a video game is actually a cheap solution to entertaining a kid. Whereas weekly lessons or traveling involves much more money, and time spent with the kid. I just found this to support my idea:

bttt for more partisanship

the fact that this made the news shows just how fucking liberal our faggot ass nation isyou all make me sick
11/2/2008 10:24:06 PM
Dumb shit like this makes it on the news all the time. Just because this is somehow related to the election that makes it worse?
11/2/2008 10:26:50 PM
It's now "liberal" to want kids to be able to trick or treat with joy?
11/2/2008 10:27:28 PM
if it was someone not giving candy to mccain supporters this never would have made the newsmedia is liberalif you deny that you're a complete fucking idiot
11/2/2008 10:27:57 PM
Even if it had been the other way around it would have been an asshole thing to do. I don't think it really matters what candidate the bitch was touting.^ Of course it would have made the news. What else do stations like WRAL have to report And then the national media would have picked it up because anything about the election is OMG SERIOUS BUSINESS.[Edited on November 2, 2008 at 10:29 PM. 11/2/2008 10:30:56 PM
Did they not go nuts over this girl:Too bad it turned out she was just crazy ^ Of course the election itself is serious business. Any little retard story slightly related to the election is not, even though the media likes to think it is.[Edited on November 2, 2008 at 10:33 PM. Reason : .]

I'm sure this kind of thing is nothing new, but the advent of the internet age means everything and anything can and will go viral and get blown up way out of proportion I think that's a silly way to get a message out, and I also think that rosie o' donnell looking mom was exaggerating her story to try to play on people's sympathies, (Crying? Really?) but the lady shouldn't be nationally crucified all the same
11/3/2008 1:08:26 AM
