Many janitors work harder than both the Indian Ph.D. and myself. Things do not get their worth from how hard you work. That's asinine. I could work till my hands bleed my whole life on things nobody wants. Does that mean I'm underpaid when I die in poverty? Do I have a moral right for people to value my work just because I tried hard?

Things are worth the amount other people value your product or service, and how easily your product/service can be replaced with something comparable.
