If you're looking for a wireless shutter release I purchased one off eBay for ~$8 that emulates every major brand. Comes with a strap clip and batteries. Works great for about 30-40' on the D70 and the Rebel Xti. Has settings for Oly, but I don't have one, so...

Nope - I have entirely too much; more than any one person needs.
I'm grateful, and have a very good life.

Time with my family would make me happier than anything they could buy, and the best gift I could get.
No joke.

Yes, we definitely live in different realities.

Anyone who knows me, knows there's nothing fake about my statement, dear.

New feet.

I've wanted surgery for a long time now so I don't hurt so much.

I wrote letters to santa about this when I was little.

I honestly don't want anything except maybe to lay around and do nothing for a few days.
Spare time to play with my toys or work on my personal projects would be wonderful.

But anyway, I made a list of what i'd like to have if somebody I know wins the lottery:
-bandsaw
-sander
-Old Man Emu lift kit for my 4runner (885/140s & 895/141)
-Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor tires P265/75/R16
-Shrockworks bolt on sliders
-Stihl MS361 or Husqvarna 357xp
-medium weight medium size wool socks at least 10" tall
-aluminum free float AR-15 rifle length handguard
-powder measure
-Lee classic turret press
-lots of bullets, primers, and powder

I want new feet too.
I always come in last in the pack test (due to my feet) even though I'm more fit than 75% of the guys taking the test.
Not to mention they're ugly rice paddy feet.

I'm with QTPie. It'll be so nice to see family and spend time on my parents' farm.

Though it would be nice to have job security for Christmas. My company is doing mass layoffs.

i think i am going to get a rolly briefcase like this (or something similar):

because i've mentioned it to my parents. but i really don't actually want that. but they are the type of people that pay attention to what i say and if i say something once or hint that i'm interested and then don't mention it again for like 6 months, it randomly shows up at christmas. i mean i guess it is a practical thing to have, i just think they are kind of douchebaggy and i REALLY don't want christmas tainted by school/work. i would honestly rather get nothing than get something for school. because yes it will be nice to have for school because my back kills me but i don't ever see myself having a job where i'd actually use it.

Humans!!! by the wonderful people at Twilight Games who brought you Zombies!!!
And, yes, the entire point is so that you can put them together and play Humans vs. Zombies.
That, and a nice set of chromed d6's and d10's for Cyberpunk would make my holidays.

Money

Any of the 4 items would be fine with me.

I wanted time so much I told my new boss to either fire me or give me the week of New Years off (only time available for family)

I was going to spend my holidays crying if I couldn't see them and no gift in the world could make up for that.

there's only one thing i really want, and Fumbler knows what it is, and i would give up all the other stuff if i could get it.
-------
anyway....this was the email i sent to my mom, minus the links:

the thing i want the most for sure is the Dell Inspiron Mini 9 netbook (a very small laptop meant for portability and internet use). right now there's a discount of $25 off. as far as specs:
-obsidian black color
-windows xp
-standard warranty
-1 GB DDR2 memory (**the default is 512MB, so you have to make sure you click this option)
-8 GB solid state drive
-no dvd/cd drive, no webcam, none of the other extras/accessories

with the discount they have right now, it's $424.

other things on my list:

-Rock Band 2 drum kit for PS3

-The Dark Knight on Blu-ray disc (comes out 12-9)

-Wall E on Blu-ray disc (came out 11-18)

-LittleBigPlanet (video game) for PS3

-Eddie Bauer "Textured Herringbone Cargo Pants" in Dark Sagebrush and/or Coal colors

-Eddie Bauer "Adventurer Cotton Ripstop Pants" in Bark color

-LL Bean Storm Chaser Rain Jacket, Colonial Red color

-pajama pants, hard finish cotton

-some sort of round braided rug that has red + other colors in it for my computer room, 6-7' diameter? something similar to http://tinyurl.com/llbeanrug but not as expensive. i love the grass green one for the fireplace room, but again, it's expensive and they don't even have one big enough for that room. i like the braided ones b/c they're casual, not just one or two specific colors (so they can match anything), and they're not some sort of pattern that will go out of style in a couple of years.

The pack test is what you have to do to be nationally qualified as a wildland firefighter.

You have to tote a 45 lbs pack for 3 miles in under 45 minutes.
In the last 3 years I've come in at 45:00, 44:20, and 44:40

At the end I'm not even close to tired but my feet hurt horribly.

my fam isn't exchanging this year. we figured out that we'd just be passing around gift cards. it's a good way to save $300.

but otherwise, it would have been pottery barn gc's - it's what i always want.

because some day we'll actually be able to purchase 1 more piece of furniture from there.

Except maybe for the seasons of Seinfeld on DVD that I don't already have. But only if the person who buys them gets a good deal. Otherwise, they can save their money.

I hate people like this. Families that do this are retarded, why wouldn't you just spend time with each other and NOT spend your money when all your doing is trading items that you would have just bought yourself anyway? It's just an excuse to spend a ton of money so you can hope you get something you want in return.

I guess its just the way I was raised but how obnoxious that you would be so specific about what you want your gift to be
