if those companies go under then the UAW would in theory collapse with it.

Unfortunately the gov't would prop them up with financial packages because they are crooks.

People will scab when they start starving.

Toyota and Honda (and most other foriegn manufacturers with a presence in the US) are non-union labor. And they make significantly more money, have better benefits, better working conditions and more job satisfaction.

Here's to hoping BO reigns in Reid and Pelosi once he takes the reigns, otherwise I'm going to suffer a severe does of voters remorse.

They were all small-time, highly localized auto makers (some boutique).

This is GM we're talking about here. Not some fucking crackerjack car manufacturer - GM is one of the largest and longest lasting auto manu's in the world."

LOL...say that to Europeans, Africans, and most of the rest of the world who drive Citroen's. They're pretty popular to be 'small-time'. Maybe GM (one of the WORST) manufacturers could learn a thing or two.

^^reading 101. They're popular but where do I say they're a huge manufacturer?

Citroen, Peugeot, etc aren't HUGE but they are popular in other areas of the globe.

AND they're actually pretty decent cars. Which is a lot more than GM or any US auto manf. can say.

Not unlike many parasite-host relationships.

^^ GM has demonstrated that it is absolutely capable of building world-class cars. They just usually don't.
