I'm going to Woody's for Thanksgiving. I also plan on having, "The world's loneliest dinner" at a chinese place like I have the last several Xmas and Xmas eves. It's great. You pick a chinese place, go there, and enjoy your meal while surrounded by single, unshaven men who clearly stopped taking care of themselves a while ago because no one loves them and they're just dead inside, but it really shines through this time of year. It's truly an interesting experience. You can tell that if one person started slowly weeping the entire restaurant would break out in tears.

having to go in at 6am on thanksgiving and christmas morning to walk and feed animals and clean cages (with every possible cage full) was awful... especially knowing i had to go back around 2 to do it all over again

"

i don't mind this. not only did i get paid 8 hours today, but i got overtime pay for doing kennel. it would've been nice to sleep in, but oh well.

biofreak you dont work at the pet pad do you?

on holidays at my last job (which was a 200 kennel facility) we would have 12 hr days and the place would be packed. most kennels had at least 2 dogs in each one

talk about a ruined holiday.....

We do a little different thanksgiving. It's seafood dominated (catfish not being seafood):

Meats:

Oysters
Fried Catfish
Shrimp
Crab legs
Turkey

Sides:

Cole Slaw
Sweet Cream Corn
Pasta Salad
Fried Sweet Potato
Mac-n-Cheese
Deviled Eggs
A few other things I never got to
Rolls and Cornbread

Deserts:

14 layer chocolate cake
Three layer pie: cheesecake, chocolate, and pumpkin
Rum Cake
Some other thing I can't remember
