Oh for the love of... damn it whoever is "conversating" get over yourselves. I'm sorry if you get easily offended because you weren't loved enough as a child... or loved the wrong way. Do you really think people will just abandon the tunnel because you decree it to cease being the FET?

Hell, I've never written in the tunnel but remove the right to express thy self and I'll go to Lowes and clear out their stock of spray paint and go crazy up in that piece.

not that i ever really wrote in the FET, but i always considered it to be something really unique about our school. when all we are know for is bricks and engineering, it was actually kind of cool to have people from other schools bring up the tunnel. sure, there were always offensive things written in there, but that was half of the fun. honestly, you know people are going to write horrible shit, grow some fucking balls. its not half as bad as most of the garbage in chit chat.

"Free speech" in general is really "limited speech" because speech that incites violence or the like is not protected under the freedom of speech rules. That's what the ACLU told me when I alerted them to the controversy that NC State was trying to make rules that limited the freedom of speech of people. Totally my doing that an ACLU representative started showing up at those meetings

On the other hand. I think you should be able to spray paint anything you want on the wall that falls under the "limited speech" protection because that's how we should roll as Americans.

Tell everyone to stop being so God damned sensitive.

It's hard to think of anything more absurd than closing down a "Free Expression Tunnel" because offensive things are being written in it
