I think that people might do that to get attention because they want to feel that maybe someone really does care. Maybe someone will reach out to them. Maybe they've been trying to have someone reach out to them, just trying to get one person to show they care. They could be at a point where they feel that they may be alone for the rest of their life. They could think that no one would really be affected by this choice. You know a person like this really needs some help, it's impossible for them to see anything good in their life. They have tunnel vision on the bad things.

That might be something that is going through their mind.

I just got back from that way they had the whole beltline being routed onto capital, funny thing is traffic was moving onto the beltline behind the police barracade from Capital just fine. Needless to say traffic heading that way was fucking lame.
