what do you mean, not in America? The US and other heavily developed countries (but mainly the US) are already hogging up a lot of the worlds resources. This necessitates that the population stays "low".


Our population is currently growing. Other countries aside, there are still going to be more people competing for possibly diminishing American resources in the future. If everyone Duggars out, shit is going to go downhill even faster than projected. Yes, more people could exist here, but at what cost? Wilderness, diversity, aesthetics and non-goal-oriented activity will cease to exist as everything is consumed for necessity and utility.


It is ethically reprehensible to do more than replace yourself and your spouse/mate in the population with a looming resource crisis. Reproductive competition between citizens of western societies is virtually nil, and I assume most of you like it that way. To maintain our ease of living and the overall health of our population, population growth rates need to be reversed as much as possible.

Actually, c-sections have changed a lot since they once recommended this to women. They used to do a longitudal incision cutting the uterus and tissues in a vertical line across the uterus. This made the uterus much more vulnerable to rupture during labor. Now, they perform a transverse cut horizontally and lower, which keeps the uterus stronger. VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarian) is very common practice today. I have had two c-sections for two different reasons and my doctors say it's fine for me to attempt a VBAC if I ever decide to have any more children. From my understanding, the Duggar lady had like her third c-section this time because the baby was breech.
