you can use it to advertise for anything.. if you've got a foundation, why not.they just chose to use that slogan since its very popular. and i guess they wanted to protect it.its like that guy who coined the "lets get ready to rumble" phrase.

Protect it from what?

^^No, I've already assumed that someone can't use this slogan to advertise their foundation, but no one, it seems, will confirm that.I'll ask again: Can someone use this slogan to advertise their foundation?
12/20/2008 12:32:58 PM
huh? no, since the jimmyvfoundation has it registered.if it wasnt, then you could possibly.i mean, people still use it, but they dont use it to sell things.i couldnt use it if i wanted to sell cars cuz its registered to them, but if your foundation had nothing to do with whatever jimmyV was known for, then you would have a hard time trying to convince the patent officials that you want to use valvanos quote.its not as easy as you making up a quote and just going in there. its gotta "mean something". but as long as you've got your ducks in a row, and can show good proof of what you're doing, then its a simple process

i never thought id say this but...i want to go to the mcdonalds on western blvd.man that was weird.

12/20/2008 1:39:09 PM
right now it won't stand up to cookoutbut i think that as time goes on, it will get closer and may beat cookout as new students go here for the NCSU connection
12/20/2008 1:41:46 PM
only on tww can a conversation about mcdonalds lead to a discusson of the intricacies of trademark law
12/20/2008 1:44:49 PM
if cookout has a 2 hour lineand i am drunk and want food nowand mcdonalds has no linei will go to mcdonaldsand i think some other people would too
12/20/2008 1:53:52 PM
then mcdonalds will have a 2 hour line and cookout will have no linerinse and repeat

you too will see me there when I am hungry. Can't beat a 99 cent double cheese. The inside is awesome. I wish the bojangles (which is already awesome) would do this, then that place would be the BOMBdiggity.com
12/20/2008 6:41:05 PM
how long was mcdonalds closed? i don't think it was closed much longer than bojangles, and look at the difference.
12/20/2008 6:43:03 PM
it's really nice, we went and terrorized the place the other night
12/20/2008 6:49:05 PM
^ Bojo's was also burnt and McDonald's is trying to change their value proposition.
12/20/2008 6:49:14 PM
yeah bojos was burnt, but mcdonalds was torn completely down
12/20/2008 7:05:11 PM
Bojangles seems to be doing fine with what they have. McDonald's is trying to better compete in the marketplace. Rather than make better food, they have made a more appealing restaurant.
12/20/2008 7:11:45 PM
bojangles could have improved their drive through capacity with a different setup

^n00bmcdoubles are $1, double cheeseburgers are 1.19...at least thats what i was told
12/20/2008 7:59:11 PM
Clarification, for those who like to infer incorrect inferences...The $1.00 double patty cheese burger is no longer called a double cheeseburger... its been renamed a McDouble and has one less slice of cheese.. although I"m unsure how they determined that one slice of cheese cost 20 cents. The double cheeseburger is $1.19.[Edited on December 20, 2008 at 8:06 PM. Reason : y]

Double cheeses are now called McDoubles and are $1.19.well well whatever I got cost me 99 cents the other night. I get 2 doubles a fry and a cup for water. 3 something. BOOM.

personally i feel we need to quit dwelling on our scant championship memories and start workin on some new onesi would vote to remove all that stuff from our sight in favor of hanging our old spice championship banner and our national bass fishing championship trophy...and work from there

Wasn't this supposed to be the new LEED McDonald's? I remember one of them in the area was supposed to be rebuilt under the green-building guidelines.
12/21/2008 12:45:55 AM
by "green building"you mean "no building at all just nomadic dining involving tarp propped up against a tree in the forest for a day or two at a time"thats green, green buildings are bullshit especially when they are sitting on 3 acres of impermeable surface
12/21/2008 12:48:33 AM
Jimmy V was a good guy, I am glad he gets so much respect.
12/21/2008 12:51:40 AM
im glad he earned itfaggot
12/21/2008 12:52:53 AM
Nice. No, "green" building isn't as eco-friendly as the propoganda makes it out to seem. It's just LESS destructive than before. Still, the stats on energy effeciency, and lowered maintenance costs on LEED certified buildings seem to make it worth the extra costs for startup building.
