you can use it to advertise for anything.. if you've got a foundation, why not.

they just chose to use that slogan since its very popular. and i guess they wanted to protect it.

its like that guy who coined the "lets get ready to rumble" phrase.

No, I've already assumed that someone can't use this slogan to advertise their foundation, but no one, it seems, will confirm that.

I'll ask again: Can someone use this slogan to advertise their foundation?

huh? no, since the jimmyvfoundation has it registered.

if it wasnt, then you could possibly.
i mean, people still use it, but they dont use it to sell things.
i couldnt use it if i wanted to sell cars cuz its registered to them,

but if your foundation had nothing to do with whatever jimmyV was known for, then you would have a hard time trying to convince the patent officials that you want to use valvanos quote.

its not as easy as you making up a quote and just going in there. its gotta "mean something".
but as long as you've got your ducks in a row, and can show good proof of what you're doing, then its a simple process

right now it won't stand up to cookout

but i think that as time goes on, it will get closer and may beat cookout as new students go here for the NCSU connection

you too will see me there when I am hungry. Can't beat a 99 cent double cheese. The inside is awesome. I wish the bojangles (which is already awesome) would do this, then that place would be the BOMBdiggity.com

how long was mcdonalds closed? i don't think it was closed much longer than bojangles, and look at the difference.

Bojangles seems to be doing fine with what they have. McDonald's is trying to better compete in the marketplace. Rather than make better food, they have made a more appealing restaurant.

Clarification, for those who like to infer incorrect inferences...

The $1.00 double patty cheese burger is no longer called a double cheeseburger... its been renamed a McDouble and has one less slice of cheese.. although I"m unsure how they determined that one slice of cheese cost 20 cents. The double cheeseburger is $1.19.

i went to this place yesterday. Never seen a fast food place so decked out in favor of the local sports team. Its very intelligently decorated too, they have things that a State fan would appreciate (our few memorable moments in sports history) rather than a hodge podge of random sports memorabilia they picked up at thrift shops/yard sales."

speaking of Hodge, I would've thought they'd have something in there related to him on the wall, but I guess his bust in the NBA made people forget about him

i would vote to remove all that stuff from our sight in favor of hanging our old spice championship banner and our national bass fishing championship trophy

...and work from there

Wasn't this supposed to be the new LEED McDonald's? I remember one of them in the area was supposed to be rebuilt under the green-building guidelines.

by "green building"

you mean "no building at all just nomadic dining involving tarp propped up against a tree in the forest for a day or two at a time"

thats green, green buildings are bullshit especially when they are sitting on 3 acres of impermeable surface

Nice. No, "green" building isn't as eco-friendly as the propoganda makes it out to seem. It's just LESS destructive than before. Still, the stats on energy effeciency, and lowered maintenance costs on LEED certified buildings seem to make it worth the extra costs for startup building.
