Yup, my mom tried to talk me into getting a job and settling down instead of going to grad school. I think she did finally give up when I had my tubes tied and threatened bodily harm if she tried to interfere.

She'll probably go apeshit when I take away her one last girly dream for me and if I ever get married, elope.

Neuservrrat has a good point. I found that hanging up on my mom on the phone several times helped. Let them know that any contact is your choice, and you WILL end it at any time if they become unreasonable.
