you can still buy it at truck stops in certain states. The FDA ban on it has been overturned in court, but no supplement company has the balls to order more ephedrine for fear that the FDA & DEA will confiscate it anyway just to be pricks.

ok, so i'll be taking in about 650 calories a day, and burning about 1600

a pound of fat is about 3500 calories, so i should lose about a pound every 3.6 days

we'll see if generic half ass math actually works

Day 1: 275.2
Day 2: 274.8

Total: -.4#

thats far too little intake.

figure out your rmr and go from there, looks like youre completely neglecting the calories (and other things) your body needs just to sustain itself

Hell I'm 100 lbs lighter than you and with my activity level the resting metabolic rate is like 2800 cals/day

Subtract your exercise caals, some other shit, and creating a deficit greater than like 15-20% isn't healthy.

From what I've read. Some of the guuys on here are way more knowledgeable though

"if his goal is fat loss...walking is probably more efficient for losing fat than jogging/running. I'm unsure on his age, but I'm estimating if he keeps his heart rate between 120-140(power walking/light jogging) you'll burn more fat cals than carb cals...at above 140, your body will want an easier source for its fuel and will turn to carbs rather than fats for its primary fuel source....don't have any carbs in your system and you're in the 140+ BPM range? your body will break down its muscle....KETO ftw"

OK I've heard this before, but I can't seem to do any meaningful exercise in the 120-140 range. Jogging as slow as I can, my HR is about 150. For me, 130 is not even breathing hard. My resting HR is about 65 although I never measured it getting out of bed like you're supposed to.

650 cals a day at around 270 pounds? Seriously? This is crash dieting. You are going to lose a ton of lean muscle mass with the fat. So even if you stayed with this type of diet till you reached your goals, you would end up as "skinny fat" with very little muscle. If you did moderate weight training with walking 4-5 times a week for 2-3 miles, you could easily eat over 2500 cals and lose tons of fat.

The goal of a diet/exercise program should be to change your body composition, not to just drop total weight.

Yeah, I lost a good bit of weight at 1,400-1,500 per day and I'm 1/3 your size ... definitely don't try to go to 650 or anything remotely close to that low or you are going to destroy all your internal organs with a quickness.

your calories are way off. If you really plan on burning around 800 calories a day, then you should be able to still eat 2000 calories a day at your size and still lose close to 2 pounds a week. If not, then you're either eating more calories than you think you are or not burning as many calories as you originally estimated.

The plan you listed previously will just result in you wasting muscle and crashing your metabolism.

Girls are going to be 10-15% higher than guys....my 120-140 range is slow as hell too...it's basically power walking and I focus on breathing through my nose the entire time as well as posture and stomach vacuums to help pass the time. My resting HR is also 48.

when I started losing weight last year I was 289...I did the whole 1500 cal/day route for the first few months...was mainly yogurt, bananas, and chicken. Yes, I lost the weight but I would never do that again. It's left me with some pretty nasty stretch marks from the sudden weight drop...I'd take it more slowly at around 2500 cal/day if I could do it over again and focus more on building a larger muscle foundation to be my calorie incinerator, rather than relying on a deficit to do the trick

try a 2500 cal/day CKD diet imo

cyclic ketogenic diets aren't a good recommendation for someone just trying to get into a weight loss routine. The hormonal swings on the carb-up day and the subsequent depletion days are a lot more than most people can tolerate.

The first month I did a CKD was pure torture, as I was still trying to figure out how my body best responded to the carb-up.

I'm met guys that would snort cocaine during their powerlifting workouts. They could bench close to 600 raw and were batshit crazy.

just because you have all the time in the world to hike doesnt mean someone cant boost their metabolism and exercise to get a bulk of extra weight down quickly

I agree, something as drastic as CKD is not needed initially

simply reducing calories and getting of your lazy ass should be enough

has a lot to do with your frame size, i have a friend thats 6'2" and looks normal at 160, my healthy weight is around 225, which was when i was in damn good shape, i have a huge chest and would look retarded at less than about 220, hell even now at 265, you can still clearly see my ribcage

I wasnt calling you fat, haha, you could be like really large framed, but many people are like 5'6 and weigh 300 pounds and are not like this. i was just wondering how they let this happen!

i would not consider myself a petite framed person by any means, most of these were between 280-290#, most people don't believe me when i tell them how much i weigh

As muscular as you are you probably burn 2200 calories a day if you just lay in bed and don't move.
Walking 4 miles and going to work you're probably well over 3000 per day. Your body will cannibalize muscle if you only take in 650 calories a day. It won't have any choice.

Fast food and other greasy shit doesn't work for me, believe me I've tried that route. I'll put on 5 pounds in a week or 2 and then lose it playing sports or hiking the next few weeks.

I'm actually up about 15 pounds from where I was in September, and I've done it by eating lots of small meals high in protein and carbs. Working out has helped as well. But I've plateaued lately, getting stuck at 180 for about 2 months now. Maybe I need to cram in another meal each day, or lift more often.
