I'm hoping nobody here has watched these but I nominate:
Disaster Movie, The House Bunny, Sex and the City Movie, Fools Gold, Drillbit Taylor, Speed Racer, and 27 Dresses.
Unless this was a list of movies that you thought could be good but were terrible, I can't believe these haven't been on the list yet. 1/13/2009 3:48:36 PM |

I saw Fool's Gold and 27 Dresses... They weren't in any way the worst movies of 2008. There were typical romantic comedies. 1/13/2009 4:23:20 PM |

i just remembered the "worst" movie i paid to see this year
the drive-in i go to does double features, and vantage point was the second flick one night
we almost drove off, but then just decided to stay, cause you know - its a drive-in
after about the 3rd flashback view it was starting to get boring and slightly predictable 1/13/2009 11:37:34 PM |

no mention of Babylon A.D. yet?
I expected it to be bad, but got dragged there anyway. ended up leaving about 45 minutes in. 1/14/2009 8:15:36 AM |

yeah, instead of just listing movies that everybody knew would be shitty
I'm going to say... of all the movies I saw in theaters that I was most disappointed with was Be Kind Rewind, it was just a huge let down to me. The re-making of movies was funny but that seemed like 20 minutes of the movie, I didn't get the obsession over the jazz dude1/14/2009 8:26:44 AM |

yeah be kind rewind was terrible, it didn't know whether it wanted to be a comedy or a drama, and the result was pure failure. The comedy parts weren't that funny and the sentimental parts were just annoying. Huge disappointment from Michel Gondry.

^^ ^^^
you're both wrong
it's not fantastic, but it's not awful
the film itself is a reflection of its subject 1/14/2009 3:08:42 PM |

^ didn't say it was awful
but of all the movies I saw in theaters and thought were going to be pretty good... this was the biggest let down 1/14/2009 3:15:26 PM |

I get what it was going for, I just didn't think it worked, at all. Pacing was a huge problem.
Perhaps I should rewatch. 1/14/2009 3:16:16 PM |
