create privacy access lists

Friends

Relatives

Coworkers

give each of them their own permissions... no wall post views, no pictures, no status updates, no personal info, etc

I'm probably the only one but I kind of feel like it's inappropriate for bosses to add their subordinates on Facebook. I guess the combo of me feeling like they were trying to snoop and the idea of your personal life being separate from your work life."

No, I agree. I just actually had to have an uncomfortable conversation with a co-worker about this, and the person tried to force the issue by sending a friend request anyway. I use Facebook for personal purposes, not professional networking - don't need professional contacts in my personal business snooping 24/7.

That's pretty shitty that they would try to make a dumb point by adding you after the fact.

Anyway, that's what LinkedIn is for

so true

I'd never add a co-worker....all their trying to do is fill their gossip need. Some stuff on there is personal, not that I'd care if they knew really - but id prefer them to stay out of my business!! mainly because I don't like you!!

I put on my status that I was going to Baltimore and my Aunt commented on it saying that they would visit. God dammit.
