Sounds to me like you owe $617...

but if you didn't take the $600 credit last year, you could take it THIS year, and it would cover all but $17 of what you owe. However, you already took it, so you will have to pay the full $617 that you owe.

You willstill need to put in the amount you did get, or youll get the credit twice and that spells IRS trouble.

i would have owed $95 on federal and $0 on state if it wasnt for the 2008 adjustment which means that i get the $600 stimulus payment

i have it damn near perfect and the government has to fuck it up

no now im actually getting money back, this would have been my closest year so far to $0 owed/charged

if i would have payed more attention, i would have claimed one more deduction to avoid having the money coming back to me now
