The Lighthorsemen was one of my favorite movies when I was younger. It probably isn't now, but I still like it a lot.
It's about a regiment of Australian mounted infantry fighting in/around Gaza in WWI.

Band of Brothers should not be in this running. I love the mini-series I do. I have watched it over and over again. But its a 10 part mini-series. Of course it will have deeper character development, deeper plot lines, deeper historic accuracy. 2-3 films don't stand a chance.
