Updates!

It went really well. She is a lot cuter in person. Like REALLY cute. We didn't have a single awkward moment the entire night, we talked and laughed the entire time. After they started closing down at the initial meeting place we went for drinks at a local bar, so I'm pretty sure she was enjoying herself, enough at least to put up with me for a little bit longer. She asked me to call her this weekend, so initial impressions are good.

^I don't usually play by dating "rules" when it comes to that kind of stuff. I'll go for the kiss if the situation seems right.

Question though... we emailed back and forth a few times before we talked on the phone. Would it be too much for me to send her a quick email telling her that I had a great time hanging out with her, I think she's pretty, and I look forward to seeing her again?

Well it depends... she wanted me to call her this weekend so when I talk to her then I'll see if she wants to meet up for lunch or something within the next few days. If she'd rather do a full fledged date (since the first/blind one was more of a casual thing), I'm thinking ice skating and a nice dinner.

I realize that a phone call would be better in most situations, but I think that given our previous interaction of flirting via email it would work. I just remembered she isn't going to work today though so it might take a while before she checks her email. That being said I'll probably send her a text. And also she asked me to call her this weekend, so I don't wanna call her two days in a row.

Yay (not that anyone probably cares but) she texted me back saying that she it was really good meeting me and that she'll talk to me soon. Thanks for all your help with this, tdub! So now I'm debating as to call her back tomorrow or Sunday. I'm leaning towards Sunday though.

So are you not going to get together with her this weekend? I guess if you just went out yesterday then it might be a little quick to get a weekend date, however you also don't want to wait too long to wrap up something for next weekend, early next week is probably the best time to make it clear you're interested in taking her out over the weekend.

Well my plan is to invite her out to trivia on Tuesday and get dinner beforehand. If all goes well on Tuesday I'll ask her for a full fledged date sometime over next weekend. And I too was thinking that it was a little too early for a weekend date since we just went out on Thursday... what do you guys think?

I would leave the "pretty" part out, girls love compliments don't get me wrong, but this comes off a little too forward and shows a slight hint of desperation, let her wonder what you think, and say something like "we'll have to hang out again sometime" rather than "I look forward" (once again, avoid the hint of desperation)

Shawna, Mormon chick dumped me back in October because I didn't love Jesus enough. It wasn't because I wasn't a Mormon, it was mainly because I just never went to church and didn't want to join one.

So I did the whole blind date thing last night other than having seen some pictures on facebook. Went pretty well and she was pretty awesome along with very hot. We were supposed to wait until Tuesday to go out but she moved it up to sunday and then up to last night so I was definitely cool with that. I thought it went well but we will see if the 2nd date happens first.

Sooooo updates!

I just called her and we have a 2nd date lined up for next weekend! I'm gonna take her to dinner at her fav. restaurant, then we're gonna go ice skating. I'm thinking ice skating is a nice chilly thing to do so maybe afterwards get hot chocolate or whatever. And she's a total geek about Lost too so she wanted me to call her after Lost this week so we can talk about it.

glad things went well


i had a blind date last night and it too went well. She was very cute and very cool. Then again, I was like 90% certain she was gonna like me no matter what cause i'm pretty awesome.



when it comes to 'what should i do' regarding contact and stuff like that, you obviously don't want to creep this girl out, but i'm gonna tell you how it works; If she likes you, truly likes you and wants to date you, then it doesn't matter what you do, she's going to like it.

1. So if you get the feeling she really likes you, and you like her, then go for it. Make contact, let her know you like her, do all that. It will make her feel awesome and you'll be happy too. Just don't say you love her on the first date.

2. If you aren't sure whether she likes you or it's too early to tell, then don't be going out of your way to say hey or ask her out. If she likes you, she'll be in touch. I'd say giving her a call or email ONCE and no more contact until she responds is appropriate.

3. and of course, if you don't think things worked out or you didn't like her, then never bother with her again. If she tries contacting you and you don't like her, just say it was nice meeting her but you didn't feel like you connected. or 'go away whore'.

Saw her again tonight

She IMed me through gchat today at work and said that she would get in trouble if she got caught chatting on company time (So I'm thinking that is a sign that she likes me). We actually talked quite a bit online today. She called me after work too and invited me out to dinner with her and a friend of hers. I was able to nonchalantly buy her dinner for her and keep the laughing going so I think it went well.

She came out to trivia tonight and she may be coming over to watch Lost with me tomorrow. This means that I get to flex my culinary muscle and make her dinner. I don't usually brag about stuff but cooking is one thing I can do quite well.

One question though... she's allergic to cats, aside from vacuuming the hell out of everything beforehand and (obviously) putting my cat in a room where she won't be climbing all over the place, is there anything I can do to make sure that she won't get too bothered by allergies? She already knows I have a cat btw, so she'll be expecting it.
